This family owned 40 acre park is set in a picturesque location close to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and they have just taken delivery of a Wessex Classic Park Home.
With its vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and rustic hearth with wood burner-style fire, this traditional Wessex lodge sits beautifully within its surroundings.
The park is situated near the sleepy Stirlingshire village of Aberfoyle; with a modest population of around 700 it is regularly invaded by visitors looking to explore the Tolkien-esque scenery of the Trossachs. It is less than an hour along the A81 from Glasgow, yet a million miles away from the bustle of the city. It is Aberfoyle that is considered the gateway to the Lochs and the forests of Trossachs.
The secret majesty of the area was revealed by Sir Walter Scott, whose 1810 poem, the Lady of the Lake, featured the Lake Monteith, Scotland’s only lake. For those visiting the nearby Queen Elizabeth Park, the essential port of call would be the David Marshall Lodge. It arranges guided walks and issues permits for the near by lochs, where there’s excellent fishing. Boat hire is also available for most Lochs in the Trossachs. Kinlochard is only a short drive from Trossachs Holiday Park, here you can rent boats for fishing and sightseeing Loch Ard.
Stirlingshire is studded with small towns all with a unique and quieting allure. It has Scotland’s first National Park; Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, a Park whose 700 square miles are jewelled by over 20 pristine Lochs.
The country reaches are easily accessible without too much time being spent behind the wheel, what ever your fancy the Trossachs caters for all; golf, fishing, walking and shopping are all available by its bonny banks, and it is a wonderful gateway to the country.
With its expanse of unspoilt Natural countryside surrounding Trossachs Holiday Park, walking is probably the most popular leisure pastime; take the time to enjoy the wonderful lakeside scenery. Surrounding lakes are fully maintained and well stocked with brown trout, wild trout and pike promising a variety of angling opportunities throughout the season.
