Modular Homes

The term Modular Homes can be used to describe Park Homes or Holiday Lodges

In the Park Homes and Holiday Lodges industry, lots of key terms still confuse people. At Wessex Park Homes, we take pleasure in trying to demystify some of these terms.

A lot of people think that a modular home is exactly the same thing as a holiday lodge or manufactured park home. Another common misconception is that a modular home is a low cost alternative to a site-built house made of bricks and mortar.

The term modular home originates from the construction technique of pre building some or all of a homes elements or rooms in a factory so that the on-site work is reduced.

Many buildings that we see and regard as traditionally constructed often with bricks and mortar were in fact constructed using modular techniques.

Another advantage of a modular home has over a site-built home is that the time saved building on site is ploughed back into the design and fittings.

Wessex Park Home The Cranborne Colonial is also classed as a modular home.Wessex Park's beautiful Hideaway is also classed as a modular home.
