Having spent the time to choose the perfect holiday lodge for you, you’ll certainly want to make sure you find the right spot for it, and you’re not the only ones. With the extensive thought and planning that we at Wessex Homes put into the design and creation of our beautiful leisure lodges, it’s hugely important to us that our homes find a location fabulous enough to do it justice. And we’ve got fantastic news: we’ve found it! It is with great pleasure and huge excitement that we introduce Upton Lakes as our new show centre! And trust us, this is something you’ll be excited by too!
Deep in the heart of Devon’s glorious countryside, Upton Lakes Holiday Park is set on the banks of three delightfully tranquil and stunning lakes. Entirely unspoiled and rich in wildlife, this is a place of real peace and natural harmony, ideal for fully enjoying the relaxing atmosphere captured by the Wessex leisure lodges. So if it’s a romantic getaway or a weekend of unwinding you’re after, there’s no doubting Upton Lakes as the perfect destination for you. But what about the more adventurous? Those with an undying need for exploration, an indefatigable passion for activity or...well, children that need tiring out before bedtime? No problem there! With an endless choice of towns, coastline, moorland, historic sites, attractions and eateries in the area, this makes for the perfect family vacation spot too. And just a few minutes off the M5, nothing will be too hard to reach.
Passionate about the site, it has always been of the utmost importance to park owners Claire and Richard that they chose the best lodges they could for the park and the most reliable team to work with. No wonder then that they soon decided on Wessex Homes and boy, are we thrilled that they did! Over the last few years, we have worked in close partnership with them, ultimately selecting our Freedom, Sanctuary and Classic models as the most suitable for the park. But we’ve also gone one step further...
While we pride all of our lodges on their outstanding style and functionality, at Upton Lakes we have created a new lodge, exclusive to them, custom-made to suit the plot perfectly. A twist on our original Classic model, it goes by the name of the Escape. Our designers have worked tirelessly with the park owners to create a home tailored to the environment of the site, aesthetically pleasing as ever and fitted with only the best of appliances to ensure the most luxurious stay possible for its visitors. The Escape will benefit from a layout slightly different to that of the original Classic allowing for huge windows and decking along the full length of the building, perfect for making the most of those gorgeous lakeside views. And with en-suite bathrooms to both bedrooms and the option of a hot tub incorporated in the decking, this is a lodge that is guaranteed to feel more like a palace! We at Wessex are extremely proud of what we have produced in this lodge and have enjoyed working with the park owners immensely. As Claire put it, ‘The Escape has received outstanding feedback. It is a unique and innovative design, which without Wessex, we could not have achieved!
It’s a really exciting time for Upton Lakes with new developments on two of their lakes due to be completed in early June, meaning more choice of accommodation for you.
