We can reveal a little more today about the new Wessex Gite, our chic new
luxury lodge that’s bringing holidays abroad much closer to home.
We can’t tell you everything before the new lodge is revealed at the Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show at London Excel on Valentine’s Day. But we can tell you a few things to help you fall in love.
The Gite has an open plan living area that’s typically French: it’s been designed to let conversation flow. And everyone can join in – no matter where they are in the living space.
It has high vaulted ceilings and clean, simple and understated style that’s brought alive by carefully chosen features and furniture to create just the right impression. And like all French influenced homes, the kitchen and the dining table are essential elements and an integral part of its spirit.
The kitchen is very practical but also beautiful (look out for the lovely cupboard handles) and the bedrooms are just stunning.
The master bedroom is bright and airy and sophisticated, with window shutters and French style dressing tables. The second bedroom has four bunk beds and is full of architectural charm… for children, it could even double as a space ship (you’ll know what we mean when you see it).
Jon Day, our managing director, who’s holiday to the French holiday island of Ile de Re gave us inspiration for this new style, said: “It’s got all the luxury and design elegance you’d expect from a Wessex but it’s not designed to feel home-from-home like most of our other models.
“It’s unmistakably somewhere where you get away from it all. It’s got a feel of holiday. And you can’t help but leave your day to day stresses at the door.
“It’s something that’s been missing from the
luxury leisure lodges market in the UK – until now. It will especially be a fantastic rental home. We hope people love it as much as we do,” said Jon.
Our Wessex Gite is being launched on Valentine’s Day – next Tuesday - with the Dream Lodge Group, one of the top holiday park groups in the country.
